This brand new single incorporates many musical elements: they include the groove and guitars of surf rock; the mystery and danger of the ’60s spy genre; a rap-styled vocal; orchestral voices such as bass clarinet & piccolo, and a big-band influenced climax, all driven by a throbbing jungle beat. Searching for an unusual and unexpected topic about which to write, I have always found the Moose to be a fascinating animal with myriad complex behaviors. The Moose happens to be one of my primary totems, so additionally this subject is quite personal and ripe with vibrant spirit. His character informs the whimsy and excitement I wrote into the arrangement. My objective was to create a stimulating musical work that would appeal to all generations, from ages 1-111, to delight and amuse with an action-packed, full length dance number that could get people moving, entertain and educate.
